Missing Mumbai professor found dead in Hyd
Hyderabad, Dec 22: Missing University of Mumbai professor Arun Kamble was found dead in the Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad on Sunday, Dec 20.
Police said a highly decomposed body of a middle-aged man was spotted on the lake bank by some locals on Sunday, Dec 20, who later alerted them.
Kamble, who was Marathi HoD at University of Mumbai, went missing on Dec 14.
His family arrived in Hyderabad on Monday, Dec 21 and identified the body.
Kamble, who came to Hyderabad on Dec 13 to take part in a seminar at a Scientific Institute in Saifabad, suddenly went missing the next day.
"They came from Mumbai and stayed at a hotel in Saifabad. Some of Kamble's colleagues filed a complaint that he has gone missing. We are still investigating the matter," a police officer said.
