Kerala: Russian tourist found dead in resort

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 22: Body of a 69-year-old Russian tourist was found in a Kerala resort on Monday, Dec 21.

The Russian man identified as Solonin was found dead in his room at a private beachside resort at Varkala.

Solonin along with his friend Kovaliev Vittali from Kazakhstan checked into the resort on Saturday, Dec 19, after their visit to Pondicherry, the police informed.

Vittali was the one who found Solonin dead at around 7 am on Monday, Dec 21.

Preliminary reports suggest that the man may have died of cardiac arrest.

However, police and forensic experts have visited the resort to collect evidence to ascertain the cause of death
