Driver of murdered IIM prof taken into custody

Indore, Dec 22: Days after an IIM-Indore professor was found mysteriously murdered on the campus, the Madhya Pradesh police has taken the man working as the professor's driver into custody in connection with her murder.

The police said that the driver, identified as Anil Patel, was questioned on Monday, Dec 22 night for his alleged role in the murder of 32-year-old professor Amrita Panchal and was taken into custody on Tuesday, Dec 22.

The murder took place on the night of Dec 17 at Panchal's official residence located inside the campus of the prestigious institute.

The 32-year-old woman, who has been living alone for over a year, was attacked with sharp edged weapons. The body showed that she was stabbed over a dozen times.
