Blast hits press club in Pakistan, 2 killed

Peshawar, Dec 22: At least two people have been killed and 5 others injured in a bomb explosion outside the press club in Peshawar on Tuesday, Dec 22, a media report said.

Police official Mohammad Khan said more casualties were feared.

The Peshawar Press Club is a well-known landmark in the city and many journalists congregate there.

The attacks have been part of a surge in violence in the country attributed to militants retaliating for the army's offensive against the Taliban in the South Waziristan tribal region.
