Pak FO calls India's troop withdrawal decision 'cosmetic'
Islamabad, Dec. 21 (ANI): Pakistan Foreign Ministry has termed India's announcement to withdraw 30,000 troops from Jammu and Kashmir as a 'cosmetic measure.'
The Daily Times quoted Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit as saying that the long-standing Kashmir dispute needs to be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions and Kashmiri aspirations.
"It is important to repeal black laws, stop oppression of Kashmiris, and resolve the dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiris," Basit said.
"Cosmetic measures have neither worked in the past nor will they work in the future", he added. (ANI)
