Wenger hopes Fabregas' hamstring injury won't be long term
London, Dec. 18 (ANI): Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is hopeful that skipper Cesc Fabregas' hamstring injury scan results won't indicate any 'long-term' problem.
Fabregas limped off in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Burnley in a match that left Wenger fuming at the fixture-list compilers.
Although the injury may not be as bad as first feared, Wenger has ruled his midfield ace out of the clash against Hull on Saturday.
"Cesc had a scan. The only thing that is sure is that he will not play on Saturday," The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.
"Beyond that, it all depends on, is it a slight strain - grade one or two? If it is a tear it is a small one and the maximum would be 10 days. So it is not long-term," he added. (ANI)
