Local train derails at Thane

Mumbai, Dec 17: Services on the Central line were disrupted due to derailment of three empty local boogies in Thane on Thursday, Dec 17.

"The train, which was empty, was going towards Karjat from Thane yard when three of its boogies jumped off the track," Central Railway PRO A K Jain said, adding that there has been no report of injury.

Jain informed that the local trains in the slow line between Thane and suburban Mulund have been diverted to fast track.

He said that the restoration work will delay services by 30 minutes.
