Wiki founder seeks donations from people, again
Bangalore, Dec 16: Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, has yet again made an appeal seeking donations from the people to support the site.
"I'm asking for your help so we can continue our work," Wales wrote in his appeal on the Wikimedia website.
Stressing that Wikipedia is not a commercial website, the founder woos the users with 'people power' formula to donate funds and help the 'community creation'.
This is not the first time, the founder posted such an appeal. Before this, Wales had made similar appeals in Sep 2008 and Dec 2008 seeking people's help for continuing Wiki's 'mission'.
