Students vandalise public service commission office in Ranchi
Ranchi, Dec.16 (ANI): A group of students went on rampage at the office of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and ransacked the entire building over alleged irregularities in appointments here on Wednesday.
Students contend that there is large-scale corruption and nepotism in the Commission and also it is not evaluating answer sheets.
"The student community is now well aware of the corruption going on in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission office. The officials of the commission are all corrupt. We want that they should all be rusticated from their positions. If our demands are not met then we will destroy the whole office of the commission," said Mohammad S Ali, one of the student leaders.
Besides targeting the office furniture, the furious students also set ablaze a two-wheeler.
"We didn't have the knowledge of the violence that broke out in this office earlier. We came here on a tip off and found out that the students have destroyed the property of the office. We will first survey the whole premises and then will be able to provide any information," said R P Singh, a police official.(ANI)
