Manipur: 3 children playing with bomb killed

Imphal, Dec 16: Unaware that the strange toy that they picked up from the street was a powerful bomb, three children became victim to their own innocence when the explosive detonanted and killed them on Tuesday, Dec 15.

According to official sources, children found the explosive on a road near Manipur's Saibol village bordering Myanmar and Mizoram.

Reports suggest that the bomb could have been planted by militants targeting the security personnel passing through this region.

Kuki militant outfits were active in this part of the country.

The children identified as Lalziding (12), Lalmalsawn (9), and Laroukin (4) were reportedly buried by locals without a post-mortem.
