Dinakaran seeks a three-member panel probe

New Delhi, Dec 16: Karnataka chief Justice PD Dinakaran has requested the Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan to set up a three-judge in-house panel, stating that he was not getting an opportunity to prove his innocence.

In response CJI said that an in-house panel would mean that he has to sit at home until the probe is over.

76 opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha had submitted a petition to chairman Hamid Ansari for his impeachment on Dec 14.

Dinakaran was accused of corruption and encroachment of public land.

His promotion to Supreme Court was also been withheld following the allegations
