RIL's Q3 advance tax at Rs 8.5 bn

Mumbai, Dec 15: Reliance Industries has paid 8.5 billion rupees as advance tax for third quarter in the current financial year, income tax department sources said on Tuesday, Dec 15.

According to sources, the company had paid an advance tax of 4.5 billion rupees in 2008.

Second-largest private lender, HDFC Bank, paid 4 billion rupees, compared with 3 billion rupees a year ago, the sources said.
