Kids to spread message of world peace in Intl fest

New Delhi, Dec 15: About 5,000 children from across the world will come together to perform at the four-day 10th International Children's Festival of Performing Arts to deliver the message of world peace and harmony.

Children from countries such as Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Sri Lanka will all be coming together as global ambassadors of world peace in a festival jointly organised by Ryan Foundation in association with National Bal Bhavan and Indian Council for Cultural Relations.

The festival will begin on Wednesday, Dec 16 with an opening parade from Jantar Mantar to National Bal Bhavan.

During the parade children will march hand in hand while the flags of different countries fly high in the sky amid colourful performances of acrobats, and circus jugglers.

The festival will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Human Resources Development Mr Kapil Sibal, and Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi is also expected to attend the event.

The festival will see theatre, dance and puppetry shows put together and performed by children.

One of the main highlights of the festival is a bus, which will be adorned by the paintings of the children.

The festival which carries the theme 'I Can and I Will' promises to unfold itself as one of the landmark events in India's cultural and theatrical spheres.
