Explosion rocks a hotel near Kabul

Kabul, Dec 15: one person was killed and 16 others were injured when a suicide car bomber hit Heetal hotel near Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul on Tuesday, Dec 15.

Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi, a spokesman for the Defence Ministry said that the victims, which include one Afghan, were taken to a hospital.

Heetal hotel which is owned by the son of Afghanistan president Burhanuddin Rabbaniformer was attacked in midmorning.

While the hotel has been slightly damaged, the impact of the blast shattered of the windows of the adjacent buildings and huge smoke emitted from the area.
