Hyderabad, Dec 15: Congress MP Rajagopal Lagadapati has started his indefinite hunger strike in Vijayawada protesting the division of Andhra Pradesh to establish a separate state of Telangana.

"A resolution should be introduced in the Assembly for Telangana. It should have been done yesterday. About 225 of the 294 MLAs are opposed to Telangana. The resolution is bound to lose and things would have been clear," he added.
He also urged the Centre to go against the separation stating that majority of the people do not wish to see the state divided.
Meanwhile, bandhs, protests and other kinds of anti-Telangana agitation continue to mar the state.
Apart from this, the fast-unto-death launched by the Telugu Desham Party (TDP) party MLAs including D Umameshwara Rao entered the third day.
