Duchess of York regrets not mending rift with Princess Di

London, December 14 (ANI): Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has revealed that she regrets the estrangement that was there between her and Diana, Princess of Wales.

The former member of the British Royal Family said the two had a rift and were unable to sort their differences before Diana's fatal Paris car crash of 1997.

The 50-year-old said losing her former sister-in-law has taught her importance of maintaining friendships.

"The last year before she died she was angry with me about something so she didn't speak to me for ages," the Daily Express quoted the Duchess as telling New York magazine.

"I kept ringing her and writing to her. I tried for a year to get in touch with her," she added. (ANI)
