AP assembly adjourned for 30 minutes

Hyderabad, Dec 14: According to the latest media reports the Andhra Pradesh assembly has been adjourned for 30 minutes.

The House was adjourned after the MLAs raised pro-united Andhra slogans protesting the division of the state to make way for an independent Telangana.

This comes after media reports, quoting sources, said that the AP speaker was likely to adjourn the assembly if there was any disruptions over the Telangana issue.

Ever since the Centre announced its approval for craving out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh, the state has been plunged into deep political crisis.

AP assembly likely to be adjourned sine die
The Andhra Pradesh government is likely to be adjourned sine die on Monday, Dec 14 over the Telanangana issue that refuses to die down.

With this, the Congress-ruled state government may get a breather and some time to formulate the next plan. Media reports suggest that intense round of discussions is beginning on Monday, Dec 14 in Hyderabad as well as in Delhi.

Over 100 anti-Telangana legislators have quit over the past few days since the Centre's announcement to grant the separate state craved out of Anhdra Pradesh. With the pro Telangana leaders too threatening to quit over the protests the state is stuck in a political turmoil.

The Congress high command has decided to retain CM K Rosaiah and not dissolve the assembly and hopes to conciliate with the protesting state leaders especially from the coastal and Rayalaseema regions.
