Husband charged with killing Brit Indian mother of two

London, Dec.13 (ANI): The estranged husband of a mother-of-two Brit Indian woman Geeta Aulakh who was found in the street with her hand severed has been charged with her murder.

According to a Sky News report, Harpreet Aulakh, 31, will appear before London's Feltham Magistrates' Court next week.

Geeta Aulakh, 28, was found with fatal head injuries and her hand severed after being attacked in Greenford, northwest London on November 16.

Aulakh was one of two men arrested by Scotland Yard on Friday.

Aulakh was attacked in Braund Avenue, at its junction with Verulam Road, at about 7 p.m.

She was walking to pick up her two sons Tejdeep, eight, and Karam, 10, after leaving work at Sunrise Radio where she was a receptionist.

Investigators said she was struck repeatedly and her right hand was cut off as she tried to protect herself.

The second man arrested on Friday has been bailed to a west London police station on a date in mid-January.

Sher Singh, 18, of Southall, has been charged with Geeta Aulakh's murder. He will appear at the Old Bailey on March 1, 2010. (ANI)
