Pakistan to deport five 'terrorist' Americans
Islamabad, Dec 11: The five Americans arrested in Pakistan for alleged terror links may be deported, the police said on Friday, Dec 11.
Regional police chief Javed Islam has informed that the men have not been charged with any crime yet.
He, however, remained tightlipped on how many days the men may be detained by the Pakistani authorities.
On Thursday, Dec 10, Pakistani law enforcement agencies revealed that six men, including a local government employee and five foreigners with US citizenship, were arrested during a raid in the eastern city of Sargodha.
They were suspected to have links with the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The authorities who seized laptop computers, some CDs, jehadi literature and maps of sensitive locations from the men, have ascertained that they tried to get in touch with jihadist groups through Facebook and Youtbue.
They later decided to come to Pakistan for personal meetings.
