India's food inflation rises to 19.05 pc

New Delhi, Dec 10: India's food inflation rose to 19.05 percent for the week ended Nov 28, data release said on Thursday, Dec 10.

Food inflation was 17.47 percent for the previous week ended November 21.

Data released showed prices of essential commodities like cereals went up by 12.7 pc, rice by 11.75 pc, wheat 12.6 pc and pulses rose by 42 pc.

At the same time, fruits were expensive by 13 pc while milk became costly by 11.36 pc.
