Conflict can't resolve issues with China: Krishna
New Delhi, Dec 10: External Affairs Minister SM Krishna has said that the conflict with China is no solution to resolving the differences over boundary issues.
Speaking in Lok Sabha on Thursday, Dec 10, Krishna expressed the hope that disputes would be sorted out through dialogue, the best way forward.
He said, "India wants good neighbourly relations with China and tries to defuse issues relating to Chinese military incursions as it does not want to enlarge the differences into major differences."
"We are fully cognizant of the need to protect and secure our borders so that there is no erosion of our sovereignty," he said.
The Minister was replying to a short-duration debate on Sino-India relations during which members raised concern over Chinese military incursions, lack of adequate border infrastructure and recent provocative actions by Beijing.
He further said infrastructure along the border with China is being strengthened and it will see momentum in coming months.
