New Delhi, Dec 8: Speaking on the similar lines of the party president Rajnath Singh, senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sushma Swaraj dubbed the Liberhan Commission report on the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition as politically motivated and baseless.
She dismissed the report that took 17 years to be completed as opposed to the three months prescribed at the first instance to prepare it.
Swaraj also came down heavily up on the mention of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the report arguing that he has been wrongly blamed.
Further, questioning why there was no mention of the then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, Swaraj added that the report had failed to prove that Babri demolition was pre-planned.
While opening the debate in the parliament for the BJP on Monday, Dec 7, Rajnath Singh had said that the report distorted facts and was written with a particular political agenda.
