L&T wins Rs 844 crore order from NPCIL
Mumbai, Dec 8: L&T's Infrastructure Operating Company has won a contract worth Rs 844 Crore from NPCIL for construction related works at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Project in Gujarat.
L&T President and Member Board, K V Rangaswami said, "This is country's first 700 MW Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) plant being indigenously developed by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and L&T is proud to be associated with this prestigious project."
The scope of work involves construction of reactor building, auxiliary buildings, waste management and exhaust ventilation building, heavy water upgrading plant, fabrication and erection of structural steel works.
The project is to be completed in 49 months.
