TRS rejects Andhra Pradesh Govt offer to withdraw all cases
Hyderabad, Dec 7 (ANI): The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Monday rejected Andhra Pradesh Government's offer to withdraw all cases against him.
With this move of Rao the deadlock over the Telangana issue is heading towards more complex.
The issue is expected to dominate proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly's 13-day winter session, which will commence from Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police took two TRS MLAs into preventive custody, as they tried to enter the Osmania University campus which is witnessing violent protests from last one week.
On first day of the shut down call given by the TRS, the state witnessed violent protest. The shutdown call crippled normal life at several places across the Telangana region.
In New Delhi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi reportedly discussed the Telangana issue with the senior party leaders and cabinet ministers.
Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said the party is not against the creation of Telangana state. (ANI)
