Rel MediaWorks teams with LA firm, enters 3D
Mumbai, Dec 7: Reliance MediaWorks is collaborating with In-Three to set up an India-based facility that will convert 2D films and videos into 3D.
Reliance Mediaworks which was previously Adlabs Films, said that its partnership with the Los Angeles-based firm expected to cater to 15 to 25 feature film projects per year, in a statement to the NSE.
The partnership aimed at tapping into the growing global demand for 3D films, comes amid the surge in the number of 3D cinema screens during 2008 and 2009 which in turn fuelled the demand for 3D films.
The facility will start working on the first joint title in 2010, the company's statement added.
