Prove Osama's presence in Pak: Gilani
London, Dec 5: Irked by the constant accusation by United States and Britain over its fight against terrorism, prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Pakistan is not a stooge of America or Britain but an ally in war against terrorism.
"It is our war that we are fighting, not a proxy war for the US. Pakistan is an ally among equals in the battle against terrorism, not an American or British stooge," Gilani said.
Responding to Britain's accusation about Osama Bin Laden's presence in Pakistan's tribal areas, Gilani said that since he came to office in Mar 2008, he has not receive any intelligence report on the presence of the al qaeda leader in Pakistan, adding that Gordon Brown's accusation was just made for public consumption.
He asked US to produce evidence on Osama's presence in Pakistan, so that it can pursue the al qaeda leader.
