B'lore blasts mastermind remanded to custody
Bangalore, Dec 5: Lashkar-e-Toiba operative, Nazir Tarian Dabede who has confessed to his role in the 2008 serial blasts in Karnataka's capital, has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
A local court took this decision on Saturday, Dec 5, after Nazir was produced in the court.
25-year-old Nazir and his 33-year-old aide, Siraj Shamshudeen Shamas were brought to the city from Shillong by the Bangalore police on Friday, Dec 4.
Both the men who hail from Kerala were handed over to India's Border Security Force (BSF) by Bangladesh on Wednesday, Dec 2. They are believed to have been in Bangladesh for over a year.
On Thursday, Dec 3, Nazir told the interrogators of Meghalaya police and BSF that he along with an accomplice Rahim planted bombs in the IT hub in 2008.
However, neither of the two men have admitted to involvement in the 2005 attack on Bangalore's Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc).
