J&K: Hurriyat calls for a bandh over attack
Srinagar, Dec 5: In the aftermath of the attack on senior separatist Hurriyat leader Fazal Haq Qureshi, the Hurriyat (M) has called for a Srinagar bandh on Saturday, Dec 5.
Qureshi was reportedly shot at a point blank range on his head.
However, there are mixed reports on the place of the incident and the weapon used in the attack.
In one of the report it has been said that Qureshi was shot outside his Soura house by four unidentified men when he was leaving for prayers at a mosque.
Other report said that he was attacked with a blunt object when he was coming out of the mosque.
The attack on Qureshi has drawn criticism from leaders across the country.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack calling it as an attempt to derail the ongoing peace talk.
Separatist Qureshi who was having secret peace talks with union government is said to be under critical condition.
So far no militant outfit has come up to claim the attack.
