Fire in Indonesia karaoke bar kills 20

Jakarta, Dec 5: A fire broke out at a karaoke bar in Indonesia's Medan on Friday, Dec 4 evening, killing 20 people and sending about 13 people to the hospital.

On Saturday, Dec 5 police informed that 20 bodies have been recovered and out of those admitted in the hospital, two people were in a critical condition.

The fire which was started off on the third floor of the nightclub spread rapidly, the police said.

However, the authorities are still trying to ascertain what caused the fire.

A similar incident in Russia hit the headlines on Saturday, Dec 5. An explosion and fire gutted out a nightclub in Perm city killing over 120 people and injuring scores.
