Drunk engineer rams Mercedes into sleeping labourers in Delhi
New Delhi, Dec 5 (ANI): At least two labourers sleeping on a footpath were injured early today when a 24-year-old engineer, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, lost control of his Mercedes and rammed into them.
According to sources, the incident took place near Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi at around 2 am when Simran Sodhi, who was driving the car, was returning home with a female friend from Hotel Ashoka's F-Bar.
Sodhi was arrested and charged under sections 279 (rash and negligent driving) and 337 (causing hurt).
The injured labourers were rushed to AIIMS. (ANI)
