CAT extended to Dec 8
New Delhi, Dec 4: The online Common Admission Test (CAT) will be extended till Dec 8, 2009 against the scheduled date of Dec 7, 2009.
The move to extent the test came as a result of technical glitches which occurred in the first three days of the online exam in different business and management institutes where the test was scheduled to be held.
"The CAT 2009 has been extended to accommodate, within this year"s testing period, all the registered candidates to whom the test has yet to be delivered as scheduled," the statement said, adding that Prometric and IIMs have extended test till Dec 8.
Earlier, the convener of the test Satish Deodhar had announced that the test will be rescheduled for the affected students.
Nearly 8,500 students will reappear the online test which ran into trouble on the very first day.
