Worker's alien search costs employer 1m dollars!

Melbourne, Dec 3 (ANI): Brad Niesluchowski, a school employee, was fired after his search for aliens cost the education department a whopping sum of over 1 million dollars.

Niesluchowski, working as an information technology director for Higley Unified School District in Mesa, Arizona, allegedly used the department computers to look for aliens.

He is believed to have downloaded free software for his search on district computers in 2000.

The program, known as SETI(at)home, uses Internet-connected computers across the world to examine radio telescope data for finding extraterrestrial intelligence.

According to the East Valley Tribune, Education District Superintendent Denise Birdwell said the program almost crashed district's system and also hampered with technology use in classrooms, reports the Daily Telegraph.

He added that it would cost more than one million dollars to mend the problem. (ANI)
