Enforcement Directorate arrests Madhu Koda

New Delhi, Nov 30: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly arrested former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda for not co-operating with the investigations into his alleged involvement in Rs 4000 crore money laundering scam.

Koda was arrested on Monday, Nov 30 from Chaibasa, after he didn't respond to the second notice issued by the ED summoning him to participate in the interrogations in connection with the charges of illegal investments and corruption levelled against him.

He has been taken to the ED office. After Ranchi, he will be taken to Delhi, say media reports.

Ever since the probe into the disproportionate assets case began, Koda has been trying to evade the authorities. He used everything from the excuse of illness to the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly polls to save himself from the interrogations.
