Day 3: Virus attacks, technical glitches mar CAT

New Delhi, Nov 30: Virus attacks and technical glitches continue to disrupt the first ever online Common Admission Test (CAT) even on the third day, upsetting thousands of IIM aspirants.

Technical problems stopped students from taking the exam in at a few centres in Mumbai, Bangalore and Ghaziabad.

Frustrated students who could not take the exam in IMS Ghaziabad even went up to the extent of launching a protest.

Malfunctioning computers have already stopped over 4,000 students from taking the test during the first two days of the exams.

Directors of the Indian Institutes of Management are enraged over exam delivery of Prometric. Prometric had been given 40 million dollar contract of computerising the testing process which has till now been conducted in a paper and pencil format.
