Forbes names Raju world's 4th most outrageous CEO
New York, Nov 27: Satyam's co-founder Ramalinga Raju officially entered the business world's hall of shame as Forbes ranked Raju fourth among the 'world's 10 most outrageous CEOs'.
Forbes, which is known for its rankings of the world's richest and the most powerful people, features Goldman Sachs' Lloyd Blankfein at the top, followed by former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain and Sri Lankan-origin American hedge fund manager Raj Rajarathnam in the second and third ranks respectively.
Raju who is put in the fourth spot is the only Indian featured on the list.
"In January, B Ramalinga Raju, the founder of Satyam Computer Services, confessed to overstating its profits over several years and creating a fictitious cash balance of more than USD 1 billion," Forbes said .
The list which is dominated by Americans ranks Thomas Petters in the fifth spot. Petters went on trial in Oct 2009 for allegedly masterminding a USD 3.5-billion fraud.
