Port of Spain, Nov 27: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh welcomed the Indian diaspora across the world to take a creative pilgrimage in India.
While addressing a reception for Indian community on Thursday, Nov 26, Dr Singh spoke about the areas of the education and business and identified them as the paths through which the country was reconnecting with its diaspora.
“You are, for millions of Indians, the most visible symbol of our own globalisation process... For us, globalisation is a natural means of linking up with the international community of Indians," the Prime Minister said in the capital of Trinidad and Toboga where half of 1.3 billion population is of Indian origin.
"I want all those people of Indian origin who have never been to India to make a pilgrimage and discover the new creative India that is in the making. I invite you to make use of investment and business opportunities that India now offers," Dr Singh said.
