SC, Channel 10 office bombed in Honduras
Tegucigalpa, Nov 26: In an attempt to keep voters from going to the polls, the Supreme Court building in Honduras and Channel 10 television station's office in Tegucigalpa were bombed on Nov 25.
Police spokesman Orlin Cerrato said that the though there no casualties, the structure of the court building suffered minor damage and the windows in the second floor of the television channel station were shattered in the explosion.
While it has been confirmed that a rocket-propelled grenade has been used in the court bombing, investigators are yet to determine the device used in the attack on the television station.
So far no arrest has been made on the incident, but Cerrato said that police have been monitoring several groups which are carrying out the attacks to undermine people's will to go the polls.
The attacked television station also houses 'Hablemos Claro', a publishing house run by Rodrigo Wong Arevalo, who also runs Channel 10 television channel.
