BJP and SP clash in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, Nov 24: Whle Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gained support from the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Monday, Nov 23 campaign to get the Congress-led government to table the Liberhan Commission report in the Parliament, the scenes in Rajya Sabha were different on Tuesday, Nov 24.

A scuffle broke out between BJP and Samajwadi Party member when the Home Minister P Chidambaram tabled the Liberhan Commission report on the demolition of Babri Masjid.

As the Home Minister stood up to table the report, the BJP members started chanting 'Jai Sriram'. Infuriated by this Amar Singh led his party colleagues to BJP senior member S S Ahluwalia and attacked him.

The two leaders were forced apart by other members of the house.

Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2:00 pm.
