26/11 terrorists roaming free in Pak: Manmohan

Washington, Nov 23: With just days to go for the 26/11 anniversary, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accused Pakistan of not doing enough to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks to justice.

Speaking to CNN in an interview, Dr Singh came down heavily on Pakistan saying that he does not know whom to deal with in Islamabad as the army is the most powerful force in the country.

"Hafeez Saeed is roaming around freely. Maulana Azhar Masood and other terrorist elements, the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which allegedly perpetrated the Mumbai massacre, are moving around freely", Prime Minister said.

He said that he discussed this matter with Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani at Sharm al-Sheikh (in Egypt). And in the joint statement, Gilani assured that Islamabad will do all that is possible to bring to justice the perpetrators of 26/11 attacks.

"So a friendly Pakistan, a government in Pakistan, which would be equally determined to tackle terrorism, would take the case to its logical conclusion. That is not happening," the Prime Minister said.
