Indian Muslims & Christians have Hindu roots: RSS

Bangalore, Nov 23: Drawing stark comparison between the Hindu rituals and the rituals followed by Indian Muslims, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagat has said that Indian Muslims and Christians are Hindus and follow Hindu rituals.

"India is a country of Hindus. Even Muslims and Christians are also Hindus as they have inherited the Hindu culture. They too have roots in Hinduism," said Bhagat,adding that the singing qawwali can traced back to their forefathers from whom they have inherited the art of singing bhajans.

Bhagat also said that the offering of chadar (quilt) in the mausoleums at the mosque bears similarity to Hindu's idol worshipping.

Addressing the 15,000 RSS activists in Bangalore Palace grounds, Bhagat said that all Indians derive their strength from the spirit of Hindutva.
