R R Patil orders probe into Gafoor's 26/11 remarks

Mumbai, Nov 22: Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil has asked State Chief Secreatary Chandra Iyengar to conduct an inquiry on the issue of former Mumbai police commissioner Hassan Gafoor.

Earlier, Gafoor had accused that four senior officers had indulged in dereliction of duty during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

"Taking strong view of the controversy after the four officers voiced their protests over the remarks, Patil asked the Home Secretary to probe the matter," a Home department official said.
