After Mumbai, 'Sainiks' attack IBN OB van in Pune

Pune, Nov 20: Just minutes after the incident of Shiv Sainiks barging into the IBN Lokmat and IBN7 office in Mumbai hit the media, IBN7 OB van in Pune came under attack.

Shiv Sena workers reportedly damaged an OB van and pelted stones at the channel"s office in the city. The police arrested eight alleged Sena workers in connection with this incident.

In the earlier incident, about 15 men claiming to be Shiv Sena activists stormed the IBN office and attacked journalists including female scribes. The men reportedly warned the journalists against the saying or writing any thing against the party.

This incident has taken the country by a storm as an attack on the media is equivalent to attacking freedom of expression in a democracy like India.
