HC grants Jet-Sahara 2 months to file affidavits
Mumbai, Nov 19: In the Jet-Sahara multi-crore take over deal, Jet Airways and Sahara has been given two months by Mumbai High Court to file affidavits.
The take over deal landed in bad phase with Sahara accusing Naresh Goyal-owned Jet Airways of default in installment amount of the take over as result of which the airlines sought payment of the original amount of Rs 2,000 crore instead of agreed amount of Rs 1,450 crore
Sahara India, had sought a stay on refund of Rs 500 crore to Jet and freeze the Rs 1,500 crore escrow account.
The collapse of Rs 2,300 crore deal resulted in a legal battle between both the parties.
Earlier the court had deferred the court for further hearing to January 19 following the airlines appeal to file an affidavit
