Corruption continues to hurt India's integrity

New Delhi, Nov 17: Proving that India's image continues to be sullied by the perception of high corruption in the country, a new survey, which assessed as many as 180 countries for integrity, has ranked India 84th.

The Transparency International India (TII) revealed the findings of its latest survey on Tuesday, Nov 17.

"India's integrity score stands at 3.4 on a scale of 0 (perceived as highly corrupt) to 10 (least corrupt)," the TII said, citing the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2009.

Even in 2008, India had secured the same CPI.
