'Sachin Tendulkar got Bal Thackeray out'

Mumbai, Nov 16: After the Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Minority Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid too sided with Sachin Tendulkar over the 'Mumbai for all' remark and took a dig at Bal Thackeray saying that the master blaster has clean bowled him.

“Sachin has got Bal Thackeray out. Now, he ( Thackeray) may cry as much as he wants after the fall of the wicket but it is true that he has got out," Khurshid said.

“If you ask who do I like between Bal Thackeray and Sachin Tendulkar. My answer is, I like Sachin," he added.

Earlier, Chavan said that Tendulkar's remark would unite India and expressed confidence that the people will not support Shiv Sena's political game.

The controversy started when Sena chief Bal Thackeray wrote an editorial piece in Saamna coming down heavily upon the Cricket icon for saying that he was an Indian first and then a Maharashtrian.
