YouTube to go high-definition, adding 1080p
California, Nov 14: Achieving yet another milestone, YouTube is all set to introduce high definition video capabilities in the coming week.
Announcing this on Friday, Nov 13, the company said that its users will be able to upload and view 1080p video not having to worry about the 720p limit.
Initially YouTube will retain its 10 minute limit on video clips, say reports.
Apart from this, Google-owned company is in talks with major film studios about offering movies for rent on the site, say media reports.
By taking this step, the video sharing website could effectively transform the medium of internet into a full-fledged video viewing platform.
