Obama replies to Philippines Muslim rebel leader
Manila, Nov 14: In a move to to promote negotiation between rebels and Phillipine government, President Barack Obama has sent a reply to Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chairman Murad Ibrahim's letter.
The letter was delivered by Deputy Assistant State Secretary Scot Marciel along with two other US diplomats to MILF peace negotiators on Nov 6.
Although the content of the letter has not been revealed, Muhammad Ameen, chairman of the MILF secretariat said that the letter was in response to a letter sent to Obama by Murad after he won the election.
