Fort Hood accused had Pak links
Fort Hood, Nov 14: Just a day after Major Nidal Malik Hasan's conviction in Fort Hood rampage, Michael McCaul, Republican congressman said on Friday, Nov 13 that the accused had made or accepted wire transfer with Pakistan.
Admitting limited knowledge about the transaction McCaul said," The wiring of money could be to a friend or relative. but if he is wiring money to Pakistan, that could be terrorist financing. If he was receiving money from Pakistan that is more significant."
McCaul also said that findings also find strong support from people outside the intelligence community with direct knowledge of the transfers.
Major Nidal Malik Hasan was convicted on Friday, Nov 13 in a military court for open firing with two handguns on Nov 5 at a Fort Hood in which 13 people were killed and 43 injured.
