Principal beats up and 'kills' student

Varansi, Nov 13: A Class II student who was thrashed by the principal of the school reportedly succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, Nov 12, triggering off huge agitation by locals who staged demonstrations outside the school forcing the management shut down the institution.

Eight-year-old, Ajay Majhi invited the wrath of the principal of Pt Ramchandra Mishra Inter College for the crime of stepping out of the school premises during the lunch hour.

In the incident that took place last Thursday, Nov 5, the principal identified as Sunil Kumar Dube brutally thrashed the child after which he was sent home.

The boy who sustained multiple fractures and other serious injuries. He was later taken to Mirzapur district where he passed away.

An FIR has been filed against the principal who is absconding.
