4500 kgs of explosives seized in Bihar
Gaya, Nov 12: Amid the increased terror threat in the country, Special Task Force of Bihar on seized 4500 kgs (45 quintals) of explosives from two spots on Gaya in the early hours of Thursday, Nov 12.
The security personnel conducted the raids after receiving a tip off.
They seized 29 gunny bags containing explosives from a shop in Kaulakhshni area while 70 sacks of explosive materials were recovered from a house under Delha police station in the district, superintendent of police SM Khopade informed.
The SP added that each sack had 40 to 45 kg of highly inflammable explosives.
Forensic experts have been called in from Patna for tests.
There are reports that these explosives were meant to reach the Naxalites.
